So we decided to feature regular posts hand-crafted in the Queen's English. By a native. No translation required. At last, the man of the house will have his say! Still, with my better half doing such a great job already, and with major construction work largely behind us, what should I write about? After much deliberation, and in the great tradition of manblogs, I've decided to focus largely on the technology side of things. With perhaps the odd chair- or lamp-related post thrown in for good measure. We don't plan to go technology-crazy with the house, but obviously we'll need a few toys to help us through the long winter months and the long summer days!
To kick things off, here we have a pair of very special loudspeakers I've had my eyes on for a while - the Bang & Olufsen Beolab 5. I'm by no means a B&O fanboy, but these speakers are the real deal. Hugely capable, beautifully designed, these space-age bad boys look like they could beam straight down into Talo Luck. Weighing in at 61 kg a pop, with 2500W of class D amplification built-in, and extension down to 14 Hz, these would provide the perfect sonic accompaniment to our living room. Whether we could justify selling our car for a pair is, of course, another matter, for cheap they are not. Still, with the high-low philosophy of Talo Luck, we do need something on the high end, right? RIGHT…? More info from Bang & Olufsen.
