Another day, another set of speakers :) We got our first taste of Amphion loudspeakers at the 2011 Asuntomessut in Kokkola. We were intrigued by their minimalist appearance, and their apparent usability compared to most other speakers. You see, Amphion speakers are designed to be used in real-world environments - up against walls, on desktops or shelves, basically anywhere that one might want to place a speaker but supposedly shouldn't in order to achieve the best sound quality. In other words, Amphion allow you to have your auditory cake and eat it. For our cottage, we'd be tempted to plump for a pair of Argon 3Ls, their beautiful minimalism (especially in cool all-white) providing fitting visual stimulation to the post-sauna chill out experience. Not to mention their angular lines complimenting the angular feel of Talo Luck in general. They'd require an amp to drive them, of course, as well as a suitably stylish sound source. Time for some kind of high-low combination, me thinks :) To be continued… More info from Amphion.
